The SOTKA Wetland Project and the Helmi Alien Predator Project are national wildlife habitat programmes coordinated by the Finnish Wildlife Agency. SOTKA focuses on wetland creation and restoration for waterfowl; the Helmi Alien Predator Project targets invasive predator control — primarily mink and raccoon dog — to protect ground-nesting birds. Together, the programmes work to restore biodiversity across hundreds of sites in Finland.
For both programmes I designed a comprehensive set of field communication materials — including about 30 site-specific information boards permanently installed at wetland locations across the country, combining local data, maps and illustrations in a clear, accessible format.
